Today is the official launch day for The Kiss of Jesus!

Today is the official launch day for my memoir, The Kiss of Jesus. I think it’s very nice that it “happens” to land on the feast of the ArchAngels!

One woman shared her thoughts after reading The Kiss of Jesus:

I read the whole book after returning at 10:00 PM from choir practice and finished it in TEARS at 3:00 AM. God bless you for such a true descrption of your life, I still cannot envision the hardships and trials that you have endured and survived with such a positive, loving attitude. There are so many lives you have touched and changed for the better.

Suffering as The Kiss of Jesus?

Accomplished author recounts how years of sorrow led to redemption and mercy

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 29, 2015 – Few people who follow Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle, popular author, radio and TV host and inspirational speaker, would have guessed that her life had been rife with so much suffering. While her story sometimes reads like a heart-pounding novel, it is, nonetheless, a true story, which Cooper O’Boyle tells in a beautiful, selfless fashion in her latest book, THE KISS OF JESUS.

Cooper O’Boyle has had an eventful life. The seventh of eight children, she enjoyed a relatively normal youth. However, all that would change, as she would come to endure horrors few could imagine.

In the years that would follow, Cooper O’Boyle had her freedom taken away by a troubled man who held her hostage, lost three babies to miscarriage and dealt with a husband’s drinking problem. She also suffered abuse, divorce and single-motherhood.

As trying as her life was, Cooper O’Boyle did experience unexpected joys along the way. She was blessed to raise five children, and claimed a memorable 10-year friendship with Blessed Mother Teresa, who served not only as a close friend, but also as a spiritual mother.

Throughout it all, Cooper O’Boyle’s faith buoyed her spirit. Not only has she survived, but she has thrived and discovered the beauty of the Cross.

“This extraordinary story will bring hope to all who are suffering,” Dan Burke, executive director of the National Catholic Register, says of THE KISS OF JESUS.

“Jesus in the distressing disguise…”

I recently visited the Fort Bliss military base in El Paso, Texas to present talks and a retreat to the military women there. I was honored to speak to such gracious and heroic women.

While in El Paso, I met a man named Bernard. I had observed him standing on the side of a busy street as I was being driven back to my hotel after giving a retreat on Saturday.

Bernard was holding a message on a tattered piece of cardboard. I asked my driver Karen (a woman from the military group at Fort Bliss) if I could possibly hand something to the man. She rolled down her window and I yelled out to him. He hurried over to the driver’s window.

I was able to give him my new water bottle, as well as a blessed Miraculous Medal, which I kissed before placing it in his outstretched hand. I told him that I hope and pray that he will receive many graces from the Blessed Mother through Her blessed medal. I also asked if I could hold his hand for a quick moment. Time stood still as his hand was intertwined with mine and Karen’s hand too, through the open window. His entire demeanor exuded his happiness to connect with us.

I asked him his name and he told me that it was “Bernard.”

“God bless you, Bernard!,” I said. “God loves you! I will pray for you. Please pray for me too.”

And then our beautiful moment had to end there because we needed to drive on since the traffic light had changed. We quickly bid our good byes.

As we pulled away, I turned around to watch our new friend. He was doing something that really touched my heart. I can still see him now in my mind as I write this to you. Bernard was kissing his blessed blessed Miraculous Medal over and over again. My heart was soaring and I was feeling extremely thankful to God for gifting me with that blessed encounter with someone that Mother Teresa would call, “Jesus in the distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor.”

Bernard will remain in my heart and prayers. Please say a prayer for Bernard, and of course, for all the unfortunate, the poor, sick, suffering, dying and troubled.

A Time to Ponder and Pray

The Gospel message in Matthew which Mother Teresa lived wholeheartedly rings in my heart, “Whatever you do to the least of my brothers, you do to me.”

Am I attentive to the needs around me? Can I stop even for a moment from my busy schedule to reach out to someone in need? Do I realize that simple loving interactions can make a huge difference in someone’s life?

Can I pray for the graces to reach out beyond my comfort zone and share God’s love with others?

Not all “needy” people are homeless or beggars. Many look like they are all put together upon meeting them when we are out and about in the community or at the workplace.

Some might even be within our own families and are silently craving our love. Let’s take a moment to ponder and pray who it is that Our Lord is calling us to love with His love.

What think ye?

You will want to see “THE 33”

From Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros., this upcoming movie (November 13th) THE 33 will stir your heart and make you weep. It is an exciting movie about the powerful true story of the 33 Chilean miners who spent 69 days and nights together trapped underground in a collapsed gold and copper mine. They rationed out the little food they had with them and turned to prayer for survival.

Antonio Banderas and Lou Diamond Phillips star in this film. In theaters Nov. 13th.

Here is the movie trailer.

Here is a fantastic article titled “The Chilean miners’ miracles: How faith helped them survive.”

The Sacredness and Hidden Blessings in Christian Marriage

weddingJune is a time of bountiful “I do’s.” I was a June bride, therefore I will be celebrating my wedding anniversary in the coming days with my husband Dave. When asked to write a piece for Magnificat magazine under the category of “She Pondered These Things In Her Heart” and knowing it would be about marriage and family, I decided to convey something very real–not just a warm and fuzzy kind of love story.

I wanted to be honest in my article, brutally honest. Real love doesn’t translate to bliss or “warm and fuzzy.” Sure we enjoy those moments, but indeed marriage overall requires our work. And, love hurts sometimes. Mother Teresa often professed that real love requires sacrifice and often hurts. As well,  we can’t rely on our feelings to forge ahead in our marriages. We choose to love–to give–to surrender our hearts.

Unexpected_Discovery2

I titled my piece, “Unexpected Discovery” because I think that is what discovery often is–unexpected. We can discover something we never realized about ourselves or about our spouse as we go through the daily grind–the nitty gritty details of life where we are supposed to be working out our salvation. We can also decide to work on getting rid of a vice as well as work towards cultivating a particular virtue once we open our hearts to discovery and God’s amazing grace.

In my piece for Magnificat which is in the June 2015 issue, I recalled a sort of funny, but what started out as a bit of a frustrating experience with my dear husband. The challenge that was presented in writing it (especially for me because I love to tell stories–long stories!) was to say it in a very limited number of words (and spaces!) because an exact amount of space is calculated and permitted in which to express the message so that it will fit on to the small Magnificat page. But, no more than that–not even one additional word or space.

Unexpected_Discovery1

Hopefully my message about sacrificial and sacramental love in marriage and family comes through. Hopefully I have expressed it in the little story I have shared. One woman who read the piece told me that she is going to put the page in a pretty photo frame and gift it to her daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law who are about to be married.

I think that is a beautiful and creative gift!

Unexpected_Discovery3

May God bless all marriages everywhere in which spouses bound in their sacramental covenant are actually actively helping one another to get to heaven through thick and thin, in good times and bad, and throughout every single detail they share every ordinary day!

May I ask? Have you discovered something very unexpected while navigating the vocation of marriage with your spouse? Will you seek to discover a hidden blessing waiting to be unearthed? Please share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below.

My participation in this upcoming book: “Family, the Church, and the Real World”

Family life is both messy and holy. I’m sure you’ll agree. I am happy to report that I have written a portion of a new book for families titled, Family, the Church, and the Real World due to be released on August 1st in time for the World Meeting of Families.

My contribution is about the “Domestic Church.”

826207

A description from Liguori:

If you embrace only the holiness, or if you just get lost in the messiness, then you miss the fullness of the experience that is living as a family – both in the domestic church and the Institutional Church. Here you’ll find inspiration from Scripture and modern advice that does more than just tell you how family life is “supposed” to be. This book gives you real, practical wisdom on how to navigate the holy messiness of family life.

Insights have been gathered from experts in every area of family life, including: Dr. Sean Reynolds, Dr. Greg and Lisa Popcak, Lisa Hendey, Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle, Dr. Don Paglia, Christopher West, Fr. Andrew Wisdom, Dr. Tom Neal, and Greg and Jennifer Willits. You’ll discover that Catholic Church teaching on marriage and family is rooted in our ultimate calling – to love with all we can muster, even through those messy moments.

Here’s a link to the book’s description and other details at the publisher.

You can pre-order the book (which sells for $15.00) at my website here.

May God bless families everywhere!

The Journey of the Green Carnation on Saint Patrick’s Day

I recently traveled to Ohio to do a few things. I visited with Marcus Grodi on EWTN’s very popular “Journey Home” television show, I also did a live radio show with Mark Shea on “Catholic and Enjoying it!” which happened to fall on the evening of my filming with Marcus. And, the following evening I gave a talk to a wonderful Legatus group in Columbus.

Since I was leaving for Ohio on Saint Patrick’s day I was sort of lamenting that I hadn’t had time to bake my annual (and I always question that–why do I only make it at Saint Patrick’s day? It’s so delicious!) Irish Soda bread.I usually make it right on Saint Patrick’s day.

IrishSodaBread

made this loaf with my son Joseph in years past

I headed out for the airport with my husband. I was looking forward to what would unfold ahead of me, knowing there would be some sort of adventures in store for me in Ohio. There is usually at least one interesting encounter. I pray to be open to God’s amazing graces. I always take blessed Miraculous medals with me in case I am inspired to give them out along the way.

On the way to the airport I called my Aunt Pat on my cell phone and wished her a very happy birthday. It was her 96th birthday! She said she was doing just fine and had no aches and pains. She said she doesn’t know why she is living so long and why her siblings have passed on. I told her that I think God has more for her to do! We had a very nice chat and then she wished me a good trip.

At the airport, before I checked my bag, I was both surprised and delighted to see some sweet Irish dancers, dancing their little hearts out!

Dancers

My husband and I paused for a few minutes to watch. We were early and didn’t have to run to catch my flight. So, it was nice to have the time to observe them.

You can click here: Dancer_Video for an extremely short snippet of their dancing.

It was a very sweet treat and a perfect reminder of the feast day of Saint Patrick. As I made my way to the counter a little girl came up to me and quickly handed me a green carnation and said, “Happy Saint Patrick’s day!” It was delightful! I was very happy to have received the surprise gift.

Dancer_little

she gifted me with the green carnation!

Beaming from receiving the unexpected gift and with green carnation in hand, I made my way through the crowds to get my bag checked and also asked if I could bring the flower on the plane. I was told that it would be fine. Now I had to figure out how I was going to manage to keep the carnation from getting broken throughout my two flights and traipsing through airports and more. I usually have a shortage of hands trying to manage all of my trappings on my trips! Now, I had something else to worry about. But, I knew immediately that I wanted to give the flower to Barb, someone I had not yet met but whose Bed and Breakfast I’d be staying at that night.

I headed over to the security area and then made my way through the security process. Upon getting to the other side, I observed a woman crouched down getting her shoes back on her feet and apologizing for being in the way. I reassured her that she was just fine. She told me she needed to get to Gate twelve. Mine was to be Gate four. I wished her well and she was on her way.

After I noticed the signs, I realized that she was headed the wrong way. I yelled to her since she was already quite a distance from me. The woman didn’t hear me so I ventured closer and called out to her again. She turned around and came toward me. When she caught up to me, motioning with my hand, I told her that we both needed to head the other way. She glanced at my green carnation waving in my hand. So I asked if she had seen the festive Irish dancers earlier. She said she hadn’t seen them. I told her that I had a snippet of their dancing on my phone in case she’d like to see it.

As we walked towards our gates, I scrolled through my cell phone to find the short video and then played it for the woman as we continued towards our gates. She was delighted. When it came time for us to part as we got to her gate, I suddenly felt an urge to give her a blessed Miraculous Medal.

“I’d like to give you something.” I said as I reached into my pocket for the medal I placed there that morning before leaving for the trip.

“This is a blessed Miraculous Medal” I explained. I will touch it to the on that Mother Teresa gave me. This is Mary, Jesus’ mother. I pray that the medal brings you much grace.” And I placed it in her outstretched hand.

“Thank you!” she immediately said. “This means so much to me. My husband just died of fourth stage lung cancer.” He JUST died! I NEED this!” she told me.

I was so happy that I could give her the blessed medal. I quickly dug into my purse to get a business card and then handed it to her. I told her to get in touch anytime. She stretched out her hand to offer a hand shake and said, “My name is Esther. It’s Esther.” she repeated. “I’ll be in touch.”

I told her my name too and we parted. I quickly called out to her and said, “God bless–safe journeys! Email me!”

I arrived to my gate and sat down, keeping an eye on my flower so it wouldn’t get bent. I wanted Barb to have it. I settled down and silently gave thanks to God for the blessed unexpected encounter with Esther and said a little prayer for her. It seemed that the Irish dancer’s gift of the green carnation to me was the ice breaker in speaking with Esther, or at least it helped in continuing our conversation, giving me a bit more time to realize I needed to give her a blessed Miraculous Medal before parting.

Carnation_CarryOn

Standing in line waiting to board I noticed a young gentleman beside me also holding a green carnation. We shared with one another that it would be interesting to see how we would get the flowers to our final destinations without breaking them! I smiled and told him that I already knew who I was going to give mine to on the other side. He seemed delighted by the idea of giving his away and said he thought that maybe he would gift his to someone too!

My flight was pretty turbulent but my green carnation stayed safely in its resting place in the seat pocket throughout the flight.

Carnation_Plane

I saw that young man again when it was time to get off the plane and I asked about his carnation. He said, “Oh! I gave it away!” And he motioned behind him. I noticed a young lady carrying a green carnation and smiled at his kind gesture. Maybe Saint Patrick smiled too.

One more flight to go and I’d meet up with Scott, the producer for the Journey Home television show on which I would be featured. I met Scott just outside the airport. He drove me to his home where I’d be staying at the Bed and Breakfast while awaiting the filming of the show the following day.

When I arrived at his home, we went into the kitchen, the heart of their beautiful home, to see Barb, his wife. She was behind the kitchen counter busy with some sort of preparation. The kitchen was beautifully decorated with all things Irish! Irish songs were playing in the background too–what a perfect ambience! I approached Barb and immediately hugged her, saying, “I’m home!” and then handed her the green carnation. It sure felt like home. Theirs was a welcoming peace-filled abode and that’s why I was so quick to offer a hug to Barb rather than a simple hand shake.

Whew, I thought. At long last, the gift of the green carnation had reached its final destination. I shared with Barb that a cute little Irish dancer had surprised me and had given it to me earlier that day with the beautiful greeting, “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!”

While Barb’s father’s favorite Irish tunes were playing, Barb explained to me that she thought that perhaps Saint Therese must have arranged that flower to come to her since sometimes a rose will show up unexpectedly when asking for Saint Therese’s intercession. She quickly added, “But, my very Irish Daddy, whom I greatly miss, would have said it was from him.”

It would have been her father’s 90th birthday that day!

Barb thanked me for the green carnation and smiling, she trimmed it and put it in a little Irish vase which happened to be empty and adorning her kitchen counter.

Carnation_Counter2

Carnation_Counter

Doesn’t it look pretty here at its journey’s end?

Later on when Barb had a chance to express what was going on in her heart and mind when I arrived at her home, she said, “It was such a surprise to receive the carnation, in the midst of a ‘perfect storm’ of circumstances.” Barb had been reading a book about Saint Therese. She shared, “I have been praying for her intercession on a specific issue.”

Everything kind of all came together in a few moments time.

Barb recalled, “My dad’s old Irish music playing, his birthday, St Patrick’s Day–there really aren’t words to describe the spiritual lift your gift of a flower gave me.”

She added, “The fact that you traveled so far, lovingly carrying that single flower, for me, really touched my heart.” Barb had a deep sense of what she described, “Sweet, precious, and holy moments our Lord gifts us with!”

The following day when sitting at the breakfast table, Barb told me that a friend had just emailed and had a little Bible message. It was from the Book of “Esther,” she said.

Esther? How interesting! Maybe God had a message for me.

I listened to what Barb read me from the email. The message was a little interpretation of a verse in Esther:

Be still for a while and praise God for His favor, His grace and His awesomeness. God is able to do the impossible and is always near. He
loves us unconditionally.

Yes, God always has a message for us. This little prayer followed:

Dear God, This is my friend whom I love and this is my prayer for her.
Help her live her life to the fullest. Please cause her to excel above her expectations. Help her to shine in the darkest places where it is
impossible to love. Protect her at all times, lift her up when she needs You the most, and let her know when she walks with You, she will always be safe. Amen!

I told Barb the story about meeting Esther at the airport the day before. And now, I have just told you! Let’s pray for Esther, who lost her husband and for all those who have experienced the recent loss of a loved one.

Since I am back home in Connecticut, I think I’m going to bake a couple of big round loaves of Irish Soda bread!

Here’s the dusk jacket text with a few of the endorsements:

When Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle was growing up, she had no thought of one day becoming a popular author and television host. She was fully immersed in her life as the seventh of eight children in a Catholic family. Sometimes that life was carefree and fun, spending time with relatives dancing the festive Polkas at family weddings, and enjoying picnics in her back yard. Other times, life for Donna-Marie was very dark and tarnished with struggles and pain. Struggles that she felt were perhaps best left a secret.

Donna-Marie retreated to the beauty of nature, thanking God for its splendors, pondering and meditating. She plunged her heart and soul into a deeper meaning of life as she tried to navigate the ups and downs in a large struggling family. She turned to God for help especially as she became increasingly misunderstood by her family and her peers.

Life took some bizarre turns, and Donna-Marie was forced to deal with a crazed man who managed to take away her freedom and hold her hostage. Eventually escaping the nightmare of her prison, Donna-Marie married and began raising her family, believing she had finally found her true vocation. But she couldn’t seem to get out from under the shadow of the Cross. She lost three babies to miscarriage, struggled with her husband’s serious drinking problem and was later abandoned by him just before she gave birth to her third living child.

Raising her family alone, she was subjected to abusive neighbors, appalling living conditions, and did her best to overcome the obstacles, hanging onto hope for better days.

Her knight in shining armor finally came on the scene. Or, was he? Another unexpected adventure unfolded causing Donna-Marie to be thrust into a more affluent yet controlled life. “Prince Charming” had charmed his way into Donna-Marie’s life. But under the veneer of his charm was a dark side.

Survival mode eventually took over as Donna-Marie had to fight for her life and for her children’s safety. Thankfully, a saint or two had crossed paths with Donna-Marie—one was Blessed Mother Teresa who would become her spiritual mother.

The Kiss of Jesus is an inspiring true story told by the woman who lived it. It is a story of struggle, suffering, and ultimately of faith, hope, and profound love.

“I have no doubt that this extraordinary true story can and will bring hope to those who are suffering or have suffered and are struggling to make sense of it all.”
– Dan Burke,
 Executive Director, National Catholic Register

“In Donna-Marie’s beatific smile and warm eyes, we glimpse her earnings from a life fraught with poverty, denied friendships, betrayal, abandonment, and real violence, yet filtered through a most unexpected, and arduous, ‘vocation to love’. The Kiss of Jesus is a courageous, sometimes stunningly personal memoir.”
– Elizabeth Scalia
, Author, Strange Gods: Unmasking the Idols in Everyday Life

“The Kiss of Jesus is no ordinary spiritual autobiography.  It is a gripping account of spiritual adventure and an emotional roller coaster telling of God’s faithfulness in times of terror, abuse, and profound encounters with grace and holiness.”
– Mark P. Shea
, Author, By What Authority: An Evangelical Discovers Catholic Tradition

The Kiss of Jesus runs the full gamut of virtue and vice, flesh and spirit, demonic and holy. Donna-Marie’s extraordinary life bears witness and hope to us all that ‘nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ ”

Saint Joseph Novena Day Four

Today is the fourth day of a nine day novena to the illustrious Saint Joseph which will end on his feast day, March 19th. As Foster Father of the Holy Family he certainly knows a thing or two about family life and takes an interest in our families. Don’t hesitate to call upon him. Saint Teresa of Avila said he never failed her.

A “small” grace discovered

I recently heard from Elizabeth, a woman I had met a few years ago when I was giving a talk to a women’s group at West Point in New York. Elizabeth wanted to let me know that she was enjoying one of my latest books, The Miraculous Medal: Stories, Prayers, and Devotions.

3

She shared, “It brought me to tears of happiness several times.”

Elizabeth told me that she wears “a bracelet containing medals of the saints who are especially important to me.” She went on to describe them all. There’s St. Barbara – patroness of the Field Artillery. Elizabeth wears that one because her husband is a field artillery officer. St. Michael the Archangel is the next medal. She said she wears it “To protect my husband.” Next on her bracelet is, St. Patrick (after her son Patrick). Then comes St. Joan of Arc “because of her strength.” St. George is next (because of her son George). Next is Our Lady of Perpetual Help “because I need her,” she simply stated. St. Anthony is next. Elizabeth loves him because “he is the great finder.” She has placed St. Francis next on her bracelet “because his zeal inspires me,” she shared.

St. Therese of Lisieux is next to the others “because her ‘Little Way’ is such a powerful witness.” St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is next on her bracelet “because I was named for her and born on her feast day and have always prayed for her intercession as a mother,” Elizabeth explained. And then there’s St. Thomas More because Elizabeth is a lawyer and asks for his intercession in her work.

To complete the blessed circle of medals is the Miraculous Medal which was given to Elizabeth by her grandmother. Elizabeth shared that her grandmother “was notorious for asking, with very knowing eyes, ‘Have you consulted the Blessed Mother?’” whenever Elizabeth spoke of a dilemma or concern.

One time Elizabeth’s husband was away at military training and Elizabeth was home alone with all of the kids for a month. After awhile, she got to feeling a bit weary being alone with all of their care. But she did enjoy reading about the history of the Miraculous Medal and modern-day Miraculous Medal stories too from my book whenever she’d get a few minutes of quiet to do so.

She shared that it was during that time that she became upset because, “While I was reading your book, I lost my Miraculous Medal.” It was nowhere to be found. “I was upset about losing this medal, and prayed that I would find it.”

During her husband’s absence, Elizabeth began to feel even more exhausted and worn down from all of her responsibilities and no one to help her. She felt lonely too, and started to feel just a bit sorry for herself. She at times didn’t remember to “consult” the Blessed Mother as her grandmother had suggested to her in the past. At other times, she indeed reached out to Mother Mary in prayer but still felt stuck.

One night after she put the kids to bed she couldn’t shake the feeling of not being appreciated for all she did in the home and frustrated that she couldn’t work outside the home. She was feeling too weary to cope with her feelings.

But, it was getting late and though Elizabeth was very tired, she knew that before she could relax and settle down for the night, she had to deal with some dirty dishes that were in the sink waiting for her.

“As I pulled on my rubber gloves at about 9:30 PM to finish the dinner dishes, I felt something strange in the finger of the gloves. I reached in the glove and found my Miraculous Medal!”

Elizabeth was ecstatic to have found her cherished Miraculous Medal given to her by her grandmother.

“What really struck me though,” she revealed, “is the small grace I received in finding the medal.” She continued to recount her experience.
“Bent over the kitchen sink, tired from a busy day, and lonely, I was reminded that this vocation of motherhood is something I share with our Blessed Mother, and she too, knows the simultaneous feelings of love and fatigue that motherhood entails.”

Elizabeth had much to think about as she stood by her kitchen sink that particular evening, drinking in the miraculous graces as she prayed for strength.

“I washed those greasy dishes and prayed for the grace to get through the next day. She, [Mother Mary] of course provided. Had I not been reading your book, I might not have been so aware or appreciative of the small miracle. Thank you very much for your continued ministry.”

My questions for you, dear reader…

What small (or big) grace has unfolded in your life? Might God be asking you to pause and ponder–to stop and reflect on His amazing presence in your life–maybe even amid the pots and pans and small details of life?

Have you “consulted” with the Blessed Mother for help and guidance in your life? Blessed Mother Teresa, whom I was so blessed to know taught me a simple yet succinct prayer: “Mary, Mother of Jesus, be a Mother to me now.” Mother Mary knows our hearts. Don’t be afraid to reach out to her.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. (inscribed on the Miraculous Medal).

Tips and encouragement for your family Lenten journey

One mom I know is doing this for Lent. Each day, drawing from the tips, advice, and encouragement in my new book Bringing Lent Home with St. John Paul II, she makes her family’s fasting, prayer, and almsgiving more tangible by writing it down for them to see. It’s a great reminder to all.

I’ve suggested this in my book and I am tickled to see it carried out by Katie.

Katie’s daughter Lillian helped by writing the prayer.

What ways can you be mindful of the holy season of Lent in your family? It’s not too late to initiate some ideas and put them into place. We are just beginning on our journey.

In case you’d like to listen in, here’s my visit with Teresa Tomeo on Catholic Connection chatting about families and Lent.
