“One of the devil’s most cunning tricks is trying to lead us to despair, to believing that we are beyond God’s redemptive grace. Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle’s fine book, Our Life, Our Sweetness, and Our Hope! is a welcome reminder that our Blessed Mother is always there for us, and a constant source of hope, encouragement, and companionship towards a closer relationship with her Son, Jesus.”

His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York

“If St. Paul could say ‘Hope does not disappoint’ (Romans 5:5), we can say in tandem that Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle’s newest book about ‘Hope’ does not disappoint!  Entitled Our Life, Our Sweetness, and Our Hope! Jubilee Pilgrims of Hope with Mary, the book offers a spiritual roadmap with Mother Mary as our guide.  Regaling us with fascinating tidbits, anecdotes, well-documented citations, and brilliant reflections, the author grounds our steps in sound Catholic tradition.  After presenting a foundational understanding of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Sacred Scriptures, the author portrays Mother Mary in action.  She gives us a panorama of Church-approved apparitions and mystical intuitions, bursting at the seams with the theme of hope.  Hope is this book’s leitmotif.  Mary is its protagonist, the embodiment of hope. She conducts the pilgrim on a path towards union with the Divine source of hope.

The Kiss of Jesus (Donna-Marie’s Memoir)

“A true account of struggle, abuse, and redemption. In The Kiss of Jesus, Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle tells an extraordinary true story about how Jesus saved her life. This book will surely inspire hope in others. Highly recommended.”–Immaculee Ilibagiza, Author, Left To Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust

Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle is a Catholic author, a radio and television host, and an inspirational speaker known and admired from coast to coast. Yet with all of her public exposure, she has revealed very little about her personal history, that is, until now. When she discovered that sharing her struggles gives encouragement to others, she was persuaded to write this story of her life.

Growing up in a Polish-American Catholic family, Donna-Marie was blessed with hard-working parents who provided a stable home for their eight children. At times her childhood was golden and carefree, but other times it was tarnished by pain that she felt was best left unspoken as she sought God for help and strength.

After she left home after high school, her path took some harrowing turns. A Vietnam veteran fiancé snapped and held her against her will. She suffered pregnancy loss, serious illness, divorce, and single motherhood. Perhaps her greatest trial was an epic custody battle in which she needed to defend both her reputation as a mother and the safety of her five children.

Yet through all the dark valleys, Donna-Marie kept the fire of her faith burning. Helping her to see the beauty of the crosses in her life, and to rely on the presence and the providence of God, were saintly souls who became her friends and mentors. One of these was Blessed Mother Teresa, who was her confidant and spiritual mother for ten years.

***

“Donna-Marie knows the Cross as she has suffered physical and mental pain, abuse, near starvation, evictions, the machinations of an unjust court and the near loss of her children. But she also knew and was inspired by people such as Blessed Mother Teresa and Fr. John Hardon. Her faith was so indescribably deep that, not only is she transformed by her suffering, she transforms others. Which is what will happen to you when you read The Kiss of Jesus.”–Joan Lewis, EWTN Rome bureau chief

Diary of a Future Saint: Faustina’s Incredible Journey

Page turning TRUE novel!

“Maureen and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Diary of a Future Saint. We deeply appreciate the short chapters and suggestions presented to the reader. From the moment www picked up the wonderful biography, it was like any good work — once one begins reading, one cannot put the book down, but look forward to what was coming next. Being involved with the work of Divine Mercy at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy and Saint Faustina’s cause for beatification and now sainthood, we highly encourage this book — it’s worth every word in it. — Deacon Bob and Maureen Digan; Maureen was the miracle for Sr. Faustina’s beatification.

Born Helena Kowalska, a simple Polish peasant farm girl at the dawn of the 20th century, Faustina was chosen by God to teach the world about His unfathomable Divine Mercy. Though mocked, ridiculed, and unbelieved, she earnestly followed Jesus’ commands, the Blessed Mother’s instructions, and saintly wisdom to tread an amazing mystical journey, filled to overflowing with gifts and graces to glorify God. She went on to become one of the world’s most popular saints. Befriend this lovable, down-to-earth saint through the work of celebrated author Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle, an expert on St. Faustina and a master storyteller, who presents St. Faustina’s life in this page-turning novel for all ages.

***

“Finally, the inspiring story of St. Faustina for young readers! Far from a mere gathering of historic details, this is an engaging and readable biography. In her persona, conversational style, Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle is simply telling the story of one of her favorite saints. It’s a compelling story and, as it unfolds, she invites her readers to think about their own relationship with Christ, offering them practical ways to model their own lives on Faustina’s. Though geared primarily for young people, this is perhaps the fullest and richest biography of St. Faustina and will be a great blessing for young and old alike.” — Vinny Flynn, author of 7 Secrets of Divine Mercy

“I’m not usually keen about reading one of the 30 days or 52 weeks kind of books as I don’t usually find them going into depth enough to decently treat the saint they are focusing on. But it was different with Donna-Marie’s book. As I began to skim through it in preparation for doing a Television interview with her I realized that this book was different and I wanted to read it from cover to cover. This is the best integration of the main events of St. Faustina’s life and the best presentation in a clear, orderly way, of her spiritual teaching that I know of. I am very grateful for this book and highly recommend it.

I Can Pray Anywhere

for 3 to 7 year olds (and up!)

I can pray anywhere!

I can pray in my bed.
I can pray on my head.

I can pray when I eat.
I can pray as I cross the street.

Prayer is the way we talk with God. And God is always ready to hear our prayer.

With wonderful illustrations and a memorable rhyme, I Can Pray Anywhere teaches children that any moment is a good moment to pray! Prayer is not just for specific times and places, but for any and all times throughout the day. God is always listening and delights in hearing from us.

***

“What a wonderfully written book for kids! It teaches the child that they can pray ANYWHERE and invites the adult caregiver to reflect on their own prayer life as well. I recommend it to caregivers looking for ways to help guide children in their spiritual lives. Towards the end of the book, I found myself smiling at how sweet and encouraging the message was.” — Amazon review

“This book is a great teaching tool for families. Before reading it, I had never seen a children’s book introducing the idea of constantly having conversation with God throughout the day. It might be the most important thing that we teach our little ones, since this is the basis of our faith. If we can successfully teach this important concept to our children early, I firmly believe that they will be less likely to stray from the Truth. This book is a great reminder for everyone, even adults! My older children even listened as I read it aloud. “I Can Pray Anywhere” is now a staple in our home. Truly one of a kind!” — Amazon review

30 Marian Eucharistic Visits: Adoring Jesus with His Mother

Amid a wide range of spiritualities and charisms, the saints shared two consistent devotions: love for the Holy Eucharist and love for Our Lady. Here is the book that will immerse you deeply in both and inflame your heart with love for Jesus’ Eucharistic Heart through the heart of His Mother. The relational reflections contained in this volume will restore or increase your faith in the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. They will help you enter into meditation with Jesus and Mary as never before and will open your heart to receive the graces available from the Sacred Mysteries.

Each Marian Eucharistic Visit presented in these pages, similar in format to Lectio Divina, guides you through four parts: ponder (a short prayer or quote from a saint or spiritual writer), reflect (a meditation on the grace you are seeking from your visit), pray (a guided reflection with traditional Marian Eucharistic prayers), and savor (keys to resting in the presence of the Lord). Space is provided at the end of each meditation to journal about the resolutions, affections, and inspirations you receive during your time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Scripture passages are peppered throughout, as are scenes from the lives of Jesus and Mary to contemplate.

In page after page, you will find ways to rekindle the fire of divine love in your prayer life and to grow in loving communion with our Lord in the miracle of the Eucharist. Through the Blessed Virgin’s intercession, you will grow in virtue and discover spiritual treasures such as these:

    • What St. Louis de Montfort said is the shortest, surest, and most perfect way to Jesus

    • Four types of prayer to incorporate during Eucharistic Adoration

    • The one thing that wounds Jesus’ Heart even more than our sins

    • The Marian virtue that thwarts the evil one’s tricks

    • The medicine Our Lady uses to intercede for the spiritual healing of our souls

You will be inspired by moving stories of saints such as Faustina, the Fátima children, and Pope John Paul II and will see how to apply them to your daily faith journey. With the chapters modeled on particular virtues in the life of Mary to imitate, these precious pages convey the Church’s teachings on the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, Adoration, Spiritual Communion, and much more.

“Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle has provided Catholics with a gift! Visiting the Blessed Sacrament and praying before our Lord is crucial to our spiritual lives. Doing so with Our Lady, as Donna-Marie lays out, is even more powerful! If you have found yourself before a tabernacle or a monstrance, and wishing you had something to guide your prayer, this meditation book is it. Through adoration and Eucharistic devotion, you will grow in virtue while learning from Our Lady and imitating her.”

Family Consecration to Jesus through Mary: 33 Days of Preparation with Saint Louis Marie de Montfort

“I had previously completed the Morning Glory Consecration personal retreat which I loved, but we were looking for a guide with reflections for our family to complete together to prepare for our family Consecration to the Heart of Jesus through Mary. The daily readings and prompts were great to lead us deeper in our faith and helped grow our relationship with Mary. The prayers were beautiful–we split half to pray at breakfast and half before bed. For context, we completed this book with our 2 sons ages 12y and 8y. They were so excited for our Consecration day and I am grateful for this book to help teach us why Mother Mary will help lead us to a faith filled life.” — Amazon review

A Message from Donna-Marie: “Now, more than ever it is important to Consecrate our lives to Jesus through Mary and to help our children and grandchildren to Consecrate their lives too. That’s precisely why I wrote this book! I kept it totally true to Saint Louis de Montfort’s teachings.

I’d also like to share that I am deeply touched by Saint Faustina’s words in her Diary (765) when she explained one of her visions in which she encountered a crowd of children about five to eleven years of age. They cried out to her, ‘Defend us from evil.’ Saint Faustina then saw the Lord Jesus, Who was distressed and told her, ‘You are to defend them from evil.’

Saint Faustina said that from that moment she prayed for the children. She added, ‘But I feel that prayer alone is not enough.’ Helping children to be Consecrated to Jesus through Mary will surely help to ‘defend them from evil’ by greatly aiding their souls. It will be more than simply praying for them.

Remember, St. Faustina expressed that she believed that, ‘Prayer alone is not enough.’ I believe that the children’s Consecrations will surely please Jesus and Mary too. Their Consecrations will certainly help to pave the way to Heaven. May God bless you and your family, now and forever!”

***

Saint Faustina warned parents that praying for their children is not enough. That’s why so many conscientious parents take the further step of consecrating their children to Jesus through Mary, thereby defending them from evil and paving their way to Heaven.

This book walks you through the simple process of doing just that. Its informed pages give you detailed instructions to help you lead your family (ages seven and up) through each of the 33 mini-retreat days recommended by Saint Louis de Montfort, the beloved eighteenth-century priest and confessor who tirelessly preached that Jesus is not known well enough because Mary is not known well enough.

Adapted for the often less-than-ideal prayer circumstances of families — particularly those with young children — these 33 brief, stress-free daily spiritual exercises and family activities bring adults and children greater knowledge of Jesus through Mary, and a more fervent love of both.

Don’t delay. There’s no book more immediately beneficial than this and no time better than now to seize the day and help all the members of your family — young and old — to consecrate their lives to Jesus through Mary.

***

“Abandoning ourselves to God is the certain way to salvation; St Louis Marie de Montfort teaches us that Mary is the surest, shortest, and most perfect way to approach Jesus and make this act of abandonment. It is a journey we do not take alone, it is one we make in communion with others, most appropriately with members of our family, the domestic church. In this book, Donna-Marie Cooper O Boyle deftly guides families through St Louis Marie s plan of preparing to make the Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary, providing a catechism of Catholic faith and spirituality while helping parents in their role of forming their children as disciples of Christ. This is a beautiful book which, I hope, will enhance the spiritual lives of many Christian families.”
Fr John S. Hogan, OCDS
Co-host of EWTN’s Forgotten Heritage, Author of “Thomas Becket: Defender of the Church

“Mary loves families. This book is a wonderful way for families to open themselves to Mary s love for them, and her deepest desire that they join her in wholeheartedly surrendering to God and doing what Jesus tells them.”

Mother Teresa and Me: Ten Years of Friendship

“In these pages I share my personal encounter and friendship with a humble woman who, by God’s grace, transformed countless hearts all over the world. My hope is that this testimony will speak to your heart. I believe the blessings bestowed upon me through the holiness of Mother Teresa must be shared with those who did not have the good fortune to know her personally. . . . ” — from Donna-Marie’s Introduction

***

A brush with fame blossomed into something far more spiritual, much longer lasting and infinitely more beautiful…

Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle will never forget the first time she laid eyes on Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Hunched, frail, not much taller than Donna’s six-year-old daughter, the aging servant of the poorest of the poor cut an unassuming figure awaiting the start of Mass with Her Missionary of Charity sisters. They would speak briefly after the liturgy Mother Teresa wanted to meet the mother of such reverent and grace-filled children and then spend the next ten years intermittently sharing hopes, dreams, and prayers through the mail and in face-to-face conversations.

With Mother Teresa and Me, Donna-Marie invites you to step inside her deeply personal experiences with one of the greatest souls of modern times. Take her up on the offer and don’t be surprised if you, too, find your heart blessed and your soul inspired by the diminutive nun who left an enormous impression on Donna-Marie and on the whole world.

Small Things With Great Love: A 9-Day Novena to Mother Teresa, Saint of the Gutters

What can we learn from the Saint of the Gutters? How might her wisdom and intercession help us in our present needs? After all, Mother Teresa was very small in stature, even frail in some respects, and she was a woman—the supposed “weaker sex.” However, this petite woman’s “yes” to God truly changed the world forever. She opened the world’s eyes to our duties to feed the hungry and clothe the naked, and told us that a far worse hunger exists in our Western world. She continues to encourage us to reach out in love to those in need.

Through this novena of prayer, our faith is energized as we “sit at St. Teresa of Calcutta’s feet” to learn lessons of love, and invoke her intercession for our urgent, as well as our lesser needs—big and small—she will help!

Prayerfully Expecting: A Nine Month Novena for Mothers-to-Be

Celebrate your pregnancy with a 9-Month Novena of prayer!

This beautifully crafted book is a reflection guide, keepsake, and prayer journal that offers inspiration for each month of pregnancy in the tradition of the popular nine-day prayer, the Novena.

A Message from Donna-Marie: “I wrote this book while I was on complete bed rest during a high risk pregnancy with my fifth child. Mother Teresa whom I knew at that time, and whom was praying for me and my unborn baby graciously gave me a Foreword for this book.

This book is meant to celebrate a pregnancy as a wonderful time of anticipation as the mother awaits childbirth. It offers the expectant Mom, through God’s amazing grace, the opportunity to transform her pregnancy into a novena of prayer to God.

It’s a “baby book” for the unborn baby! An expectant Mom will be able to follow her baby’s progress and record her thoughts and prayers as well as have a place to save her ultrasound pictures to cherish in years to come.”

Your feet are swollen, your hormones are a mess, and you still crave too much ice cream. For every mother-to-be, the nine months of pregnancy can be demanding. Competing with the joy of anticipation is the frustration of bodily pain and limitation. In this intimate book, Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle invites pregnant women everywhere to see their pregnancy not as a burden but as a living prayer to God. Connecting the nine months of pregnancy with the nine-part novena prayer tradition known to Catholics everywhere, Donna Marie shows how each month of pregnancy connects the mother to the great Catholic saints and teachers. Alongside the devotional and the catechetical helps are pointed references to the development of the child in the womb as the months of pregnancy progress. Includes a Foreword by Mother Teresa of Calcutta and an Apostolic Blessing from Pope John Paul II.

“Keep yourself linked to Mary through the highs and lows of pregnancy. Good book to keep near the bath tub while soaking those pregnancy aches. Thanks!” — Amazon review

“My best friend gave me this book when I was expecting baby number 7. I had never seen anything like it and read it through pregnancy 7, 8, and 9. I’m now expecting baby number 10 and will read it again. I couldn’t wait to get to the next month (and I was tempted to read ahead!) It’s the perfect read whether this is your first baby or your 10th!! It’s also perfect for busy moms. I’m so blessed to have received this as a gift and will treasure it always!!” — Amazon review

“When I first found out I was pregnant with out first baby I remember a friend telling me about this novena book. I bought it and loved it so much. I took my time with it and would journal in the pages and write little notes. When my husband and I found out that our baby was most likely going to end in a miscarriage we were devastated. However, this little book was an incredible source of grace through that difficult time. Our first did end up miscarrying. We named him Jack, and even though I only got to month 2 in the book, I can look back on what I wrote and prayed at the time and smile thinking of our precious, but short time with him. We are so happy to know that we are expecting again and I just bought another one to help pray through this baby. Definitely recommend for any mom who is seeking spiritual strength in this beautiful time in their life.” — Amazon review
