I recently became a Grandmother for the very first time. It is such an awesome blessing! I recently took a few moments to attempt to express my joy.
I share a glimpse into my heart in which I pondered my brand new vocation amid clothespins and diapers.

Dear Donna Marie: I enjoyed your article. I am a grandmother 8 times and Great grandmother 4 times and another on the way. It is wonderful. I sent your article to my daughter-in-law who will be a grandmother for the first time in December. Your Aunt Bertha is my oldest and dear friend. We’ve known each other since 7th grade and still keep in touch. Good luck and enjoy your beautiful grandson.
Dear Lois, how wonderful that you have many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thank you for sending my article to your daughter-in-law who will become a grandmother. That’s so special that you have been friends with my Aunt Bertha for so long. It’s great that you still keep in touch. Thank you for commenting. God bless you!
Dear Donna-Marie,
You expressed my feelings exactly about being a grandmother. My first grandchild, a grandson, arrived when my last adopted daughter was only 13 months old. Now I am a grandmother of 4. The relationship was from the start totally different with my grandson and my children and continues to be. I am in California visiting my grandsons now and have been having these amazing “grandma” talks with them and enjoying it so much!!
Like you, I only had one living grandparent my grandmother in my childhood. My parents did not attend church but my grandmother took us to Sunday School at the Methodist church. She gave me and read to me out of my first Bible. She ignited my faith and many years later I became Catholic. Without her I might of turned out differently.
Enjoy your grandson and I pray for many more grandchildren for you!!

Dear Donna,
You may remember that I went through a difficult time when our 7th child was born 7 years ago. Your prayers and kindness have never been forgotten. Now that precious little one is an Auntie – and I am a Grandma- 3 times over!
Every child is such a gift and blessing to the world!
Thank you for all you do to help make the world aware of this truth.
God bless you and all your readers,
Heidi Doudna
